Non-traditional grants- College scholarships hardship charity
In todays America, too many education ready kids lack funding for college.
Through generous donations, we aim to provide educational tuition and funds to extraordinary individuals.
To pay for a college education and related expenses, young students often must turn to part time work, leaving little to no time for required scholastics and studies.
Even with expensive student loans and side jobs, many fall short.
It is nearly impossible to meet the demands
for optimal student performance for too many.
We aim to make a change with PAAAF nonprofit by helping with non-traditional scholarships and through charitable grants.
The Mission
Education inequality equals Poverty
Financial hardship
More than half, or 56%, of college students say they can no longer afford their tuition tab, according to a survey by OneClass, which polled more than 10,000 current freshmen, sophomores and juniors from 200-plus colleges and universities across the country
Prepared for success
Our prospects have exhibited preparedness for success through academic achievement, personal talent and a drive for discovery and transformation.
College graduates enrich the civic and economic life of their communities.
They contribute more in taxes and are less reliant on government services than their peers whose highest degree is a high school diploma.
Equal Opportunities
We aim for 100% graduation success rate and maintenance of goals throughout
for a life changing opportunity.
We aim to award worthy candidates from backgrounds with significant financial need.
Life chances should not be fixed by certain morally arbitrary circumstances of birth.
The Scavenger Project
2005-2019
We provided instruction to single mothers and young parents to operate machinery for simple garment applications .
We taught them to use fabric scraps to fashion hair accessories to match our Luna Luna dresses, while their children were taught basic computer skills.
The idea was to provide a sustainable income and a better alternative .
By providing access to computers and teaching simple computer skills, the world of knowledge became available.
We Provided access to educations that transformed lives. The children of Jakartas scavenger slum lined up for class eager to show us their gratefulness and desire to learn.
We supplied simple scholastic materials and collaborated with local university students, who donated their time.
They were blown away by the joy for the and desire for knowledge the children brought to the project.
Past success story
Scavenger Housing traditionally consists of makeshift huts from galvanized steel plates and cardboard.

Living and working on the trash piles that are replenished every day as trucks dump new supplies.
This is the recycling program of Jakarta and traditionally there is no way out .
The stench is unbearable and parasite infestations a daily battle.
The Founder
be
brave
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark,
Heidi Maria Schwarck earned her bachelors degree in Fashion at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
Heidi traveled the world before moving to New York, where she embarked on a successful career, establishing divisions for companies such as DKNY, Tahari, Jones New York and Oscar de la Renta.
.
She moved to Los Angeles with her family in 1996 where she started childrens wear company Luna Luna Collection.
After a factory visit in Jakarta, Indonesia, she was disheartened to learn the fates of the children of the scavenger slums- the human recyclers ,who spent their days collecting trash to sell for a living and only occasionally would attend school.
The scavengers are part of a “caste” system in which there is little hope for an education or to learn a skill to take flight from the family system into which they are born.
Through monetary donations , scholastic materials and simple computers, she established a refuge to help educate the children in small makeshift classrooms .
Using surplus scraps from her clothing production, she taught single mothers and young fathers to create hair accessories and simple machine operations.
Upon Heidi’s return to the US, she set out to start a non-profit for college education.: “America has become a “caste” system of sorts ruled by inequality and lack of access to the quality educations this country's
future depends on.

Scholarship Athletes in US Basketball and Football particularly face a tough reality when they graduate from College without an offer from professional domestic or International teams.
The NCAA programs entice players with high hopes of star studded futures with large paychecks, and for prospects from low income, single parent and often minority homes, this is seen as a way out of poverty for the family.
A very small percentage get the opportunity to play professionally in Domestic and international leagues and contracts are not guaranteed . The players can be waived due to injury and politics through no fault of their own at any time.
The Programs secure every aspect and needs of the Player and “help” them pass exams, but faced with the world outside the court, they lack the skills to deal with the realities of life.
There are too many ex-players also fighting PTSD symptoms and depression, who we want want to help by providing funds for re-schooling and a chance of a successful life outside their sport.
